Minimalist Tries Philosophy

Hello everyone, I recently came across this minimalist artist Genis Carreras who recently did a series of posters that attempt to express complex philosophical movements in the minimalist form. Personally I find it incredibly fascinating to see how philosophy may be captured using an image, and seeing how this is a philosophy of aesthetics course, I would like to share it with you. What are your thoughts? Is it possible to accurately represent a philosophical concept like free will? Hope you enjoy it!

  1. I've run across these posters before and they are definitely an interesting project. This definitely reminds me of our discussions on art as a symbol or sign. Its difficult for me to see the posters as more than an summary or sign pointing to concepts. I'd be really interested to see what people would say about them if they had to make the connection between the poster and the school of thought themselves
